Lemos Farm has been around since 1942 and produces Christmas Trees, Pumpkins, Corn, and Hay, and raises and cares for livestock including goats, sheep, chickens, and bunnies. It offers agritourism for the general public to experience and understand farm life by interacting directly with animals and farm themed activities, and in the fall the farm transforms into the Lemos Farm Pumpkin Patch with halloween themed festivities, seasonal baked goods, and photo opportunities. The farm hosts an annual Pumpkin Patch in the fall that brings out thousands of families and features a horse statue named Ol’ Paint that is painted monthly to reflect different holidays or seasons and has been painted over 230 times. The stated mission is “To inspire, entertain, and cultivate family through unique, fun experiences.”

Animal specialists are on staff 24/7, animals are fed on a schedule typically twice a day, and each animal is examined by local veterinarians on a routine basis and has all necessary shots, vaccines, and health check-ups. Each herd is an isolated closed herd, goats, sheep and other petting zoo animals have three different large housing areas, and horses and ponies have many different corrals and shelters, including pastures the size of the parking lots. Animals work about two days a week and work on rotations during October.

Parking at the farm is included in the admission pass, and there is space for handicap parking at the beginning of the main lot. Pets of any kind are not permitted on the farm, and no alcohol, marijuana or any other illegal substance is allowed on the premises. Each child should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Filming and photography often take place at Lemos Farm by staff, and each guest consents to such videography and photography when entering the grounds.
